Description Original Language (Italian)

Inspired by the court typology of the Sicilian baglio, the residence is immersed in a large olive grove and develops on a square plan of 30 x 30 meters, with a central body and two symmetrical wings that enclose an internal courtyard.

The main access to the house is reached by a long path that crosses the olive grove and leads to the large sliding gate, central to the main facade and which allows access both on foot and by car.

The two symmetrical wings respectively contain the sleeping area and a garage area to house vintage collectible cars, while the central body consists of a large open space for the kitchen and living area, which is connected in the area to the right of the entrance. to a wing containing a gym and music area.

A symmetrical wing to this contains the master bedroom with wellness area, Turkish bath, bathroom and walk-in closet. The two bodies are separated by a large veranda connected visually and functionally to the spaces of the living area, also accessible from the secondary entrance of the property. In line with this environment there is a swimming pool area, surrounded by the greenery of the garden.

The position of the large windows allows visual continuity between all the rooms of the house, both internal and external, while the use of large brise soleil panels allows you to manage both the desired degree of privacy and the incoming solar radiation.

The internal distribution is aimed at further maximizing the perception of spaces, with long continuous paths that define the functional spaces and accompany the gaze towards the openings onto the garden or the internal courtyard.

In contrast to the simplicity of the white plaster and the essential shapes of the façade, a natural but intense color palette was chosen, with rich textures such as iseo stone on the floor and walnut veins for the carpentry.

Only the garage area, separated by a large window from the living area, has a texture of exposed bare concrete, to create a pleasant contrast with the refined surface of the cars.
