The project involves the renovation of an apartment and the overlying solar roof in a building located in Alghero.

Based on the search for the union between the concept of a modern residence, referring above all to the distribution of spaces and the use of materials, and the furnishing elements, which recall the oriental tradition and feng-shui, requested by the client.

The original distribution of the rooms is redesigned to create a large open space that contains the living area and which allows direct access to the two bedrooms. The new bathroom is obtained from the closure of a part of the balcony, created thanks to the volumetric expansion permitted by the urban planning law in force.

The living area is characterized by the centrality of a wardrobe, containing the access staircase to the solar roof. The volume is made of wood in alignment with the change of flooring between the kitchen and the living area. Apart from the bathroom, in fact, the rest of the house is paved with parquet inside and outside in decking, at the same level, to underline the idea of continuity between the two environments.

In fact, a large window with sliding doors guarantees continuity between the living area and the terrace; the two environments become a single bright space that benefits from the techno pergola for the management of solar radiation, improving comfort inside the entire home.

The visual continuity, which increases the perception of a large space, is further underlined by the full-height sliding doors that do not interrupt the continuity of the ceilings.

A particularity of the project is that of the two kitchens in the living area: each kitchen block has different aesthetics and functions to meet the client's oriental-derived needs.

The stair block that allows access to the solar roof is covered with a glass-aluminum structure. Yes, it was decided to use glass to allow the greatest possible brightness and visibility, minimizing the impact on the perception of the panorama of the city of Alghero and the sea.

The terrace is organized and equipped as an outdoor living area, independent from the rest of the house and equipped with another kitchen-barbeque. Here too there is a wpc decking flooring, a roof with a sliding curtain system and a folding glass window.

The chosen color palette presents delicate tones from beige to light gray, to accompany the dialogue between the carpentry and parquet and allow the effective insertion of the many oriental objects and statues owned by the owners.

In the staircase, in the outdoor furniture and in the bookcase, some illuminated niches have been carefully created, designed to insert some artifacts.

Il progetto prevede la ristrutturazione di un appartamento e del sovrastante lastrico solare in una palazzina sita ad Alghero.

Basato sulla ricerca dell’unione tra il concept di residenza moderna, riferito soprattutto alla distribuzione degli spazi e all’uso dei materiali, e gli elementi di arredo, che richiamano la tradizione orientale e del feng-shui, richiesti dal committente.

L’originaria distribuzione degli ambienti viene ripensata per realizzare un ampio open space che contiene la zona giorno e che consente l’accesso diretto alle due camere da letto. Il nuovo locale bagno è ricavato dalla chiusura di una parte del balcone, realizzato grazie all’ampliamento volumetrico consentito dalla legge urbanistica in vigore.

La zona giorno è caratterizzata dalla centralità di un’armadiatura, contenente la scala di accesso al lastrico solare. Il volume è realizzato in legno in allineamento al cambio di pavimentazione tra cucina e zona giorno. A parte il bagno, infatti, il resto della casa è pavimentato in parquet all’interno e all’esterno in decking, alla stessa quota, per sottolineare l’idea di continuità tra i due ambienti.

Infatti, un’ampia vetrata ad ante scorrevoli garantisce continuità tra zona living e terrazza; i due ambienti diventano un unico spazio luminoso che usufruisce della tecnopergola per la gestione dell’irraggiamento solare, migliorando il comfort all’interno dell’intera abitazione.

La continuità visiva, che incrementa la percezione di uno spazio ampio, è ulteriormente sottolineata dalle porte scorrevoli a tutta altezza che non interrompono la continuità dei soffitti.

Una particolarità del progetto, è quella delle due cucine presenti nella zona living: ogni blocco cucina ha estetica e funzioni diverse per soddisfare le esigenze di derivazione orientale della committenza.

Il blocco scala che permette l’accesso al lastrico solare è coperto con una struttura in vetro-alluminio. Sì è scelto di utilizzare il vetro per permettere la maggiore luminosità e visibilità possibile, riducendo al minimo l’impatto sulla percezione del panorama della città di Alghero e del mare.

La terrazza è organizzata e attrezzata come una zona living outdoor, autonoma rispetto al resto della casa e dotata di un’altra cucina-barbeque. Anche qui è presente una pavimentazione in decking in wpc, una copertura con sistema di tende scorrevoli e una vetrata a libro.

La palette cromatica scelta presenta toni delicati dal beige al grigio chiaro, per accompagnare il dialogo tra falegnameria e parquet e permettere l’inserimento efficace dei tanti oggetti e statue orientali posseduti dai proprietari.

Nella scala, nel mobile outdoor e nella libreria sono state attentamente ricavate alcune nicchie illuminate, pensate proprio per inserire alcuni manufatti.
