Description Original Language (Spanish)

The project aims to generate an atmosphere -and therefore a universe- (not a shop) in this small 30 m2 shop in the center of the city, whose rectangular geometry, deep and narrow, must contain the elements of a jewelry...
…the project represents a small black hole within the urban magma…
...the project takes up the archaic magical conception that surrounds the universe of the jewel, of the valuable, of the unique and of the strange...it proposes -as opposed to the usual ones filled with shop windows full of jewels- a package where the valuable pieces are exhibited, as unique, exclusive, …
For this, a mysterious, strange atmosphere is generated... hollow, weightless, and at the same time oriental and containedly baroque...
…originates through a geometry that envelops like a chest, like a jewelery box, capable of housing with the delicacy and mystery that the valuable, …unique, piece requires.

...it is intended that access to that space and the search for the valuable object become a magical and attractive journey, when crossing the threshold of the mysterious jeweler...-it is no longer about going to buy jewelry... ¿...?- on the one hand access to a solemn act: the rite of search for a small unknown treasure, hidden…! on the other, to cross the line that leads to the mysterious and magical…
…(there are theatrical resonances…some treatments of the bobeda are reminiscent of dark curtains…, the scenographic lighting that punctuates and accentuates exclusively)…

geometry: the box is formed by the twinning of 2 opposing extruded sections: the upper dark, matte, light and vibrant... and the lower silvery, shiny, heavy and rigid.

the dark one is generated by means of an inverted asymmetrical U, which generates an extruded section like a vault… thus forming the roof and the sides –asymmetrically-: it proposes a reading of a mysteriously folded pleated drapery-curtain…

…the other dihedral forms the floor and the lateral furniture behind the central counter, forming a lying L…it is generated as a worn, shiny, deep folded surface…

…a floating counter -almost on the axis- is the only object inside the box…its design recalls archaic objects – chests, altars,…- full of inscriptions,…in this case the inscriptions can be read by hand, they are tactile – braille- and provide keys to understand the world of goldsmithing and alchemy linked to this place...

…construction: the floor is made up of thick metal plates: cast aluminum, with a large breakdown (…..) whose laborious work process, to obtain different cast pieces -continuous stains and a single general drawing- through molds that provide different textures, and therefore with all different pieces, means imbuing oneself with that intended atmosphere, both in the result and in the process... closer to alchemy than to the usual construction systems.
