VIVIENDAS SOCIALES EN PAMPLONARealized

The building is located in a residential area planned as a continuation of the second expansion of Pamplona. Urban planning forms a grid of blocks that repeats the reticular structure of the expansions of the last century but forming open blocks with a semi-private space inside.
Two independent buildings conceived as a whole are projected. An L-shaped building and another rectangular linear building located to the northeast of the unit.
The continuity of the interior-exterior space created by the open block is transferred to the volumetry of the building, treating the facades as a continuous element between the interior and the exterior. The existing colors on the facades of the buildings in the expansion are analysed: mortar, limestone and brown, ochre, orange bricks. They are interpolated through a spectrum of colors that varies between the interior and exterior of the block in the form of a braided geode. The exterior adopts more discreet and dark tones and the interior more vibrant, intense and light tones. The façade also reinforces the concept of the colors of time: rust, dents, corners worn by the wind...
The disorderly composition of the windows, made in colors similar to those of the façade, allow controlling the hardness of the scale of the buildings caused by the formal conditions of the planning. The volume appears as a more abstract and unscaled entity. The friendly aspect of the whole is emphasized. The curved corners favor the sensation of a continuous facade that is intended, enhanced by the continuous curb that finishes off and groups the gaps.
ASPECTS OF INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY
This color exercise allows the execution of the facade with a simple and economical system, such as the use of the ventilated facade with profiled steel sheet.
We understand that, especially in the case of social housing, energy efficiency must be very high. The constructive solutions adopted have made it possible to achieve an A energy rating, mainly due to:
- Systems of ventilated facades, carpentry, glass and roofs with high thermal insulation.
- The production of high performance centralized heating, with control, individual consumption and home automation management.
- The contribution of thermal solar energy.
VAILLO+IRIGARAY

El edificio se localiza en una zona residencial proyectada en continuación del segundo ensanche de Pamplona. El planeamiento urbano conforma una trama de manzanas que repite la estructura reticular de los ensanches del siglo pasado pero conformando manzanas abiertas con un espacio semi-privado en su interior.
Se proyectan dos edificios independientes concebidos como un todo. Un edificio en forma de L y otro lineal de planta rectangular situado al noreste de la unidad.
La continuidad del espacio interior-exterior creado por la manzana abierta se traslada a la volumetría del edificio, tratando las fachadas a modo de elemento continuo entre el interior y el exterior. Se analizan los colores existentes en las fachadas de los edificios del ensanche: morteros, piedras calizas y ladrillos marrones, ocres, naranjas. Se interpolan mediante un espectro de colores que se varía entre el interior y el exterior de la manzana a modo de geoda trenzada. El exterior adopta tonos más discretos y oscuros y en el interior tonos más vibrantes, intensos y claros. La fachada refuerza además el concepto de los colores del tiempo: óxido, abolladuras, las esquinas desgastadas por el viento…
La composición desordenada de la ventanas, realizadas en colores similares a la fachada, permiten controlar la dureza de escala de los edificios provocada por las condiciones formales del planeamiento. El volumen aparece como un ente más abstracto y a-escalar. Se enfatiza el aspecto amable del conjunto. Las esquinas curvadas favorecen la sensación de fachada continua que se pretende, potenciada por el encintado continuo que remata y agrupa los huecos.
ASPECTOS DE INNOVACIÓN Y SOSTENIBILIDAD
Este ejercicio de colores permite la ejecución de la fachada con un sistema sencillo y económico, como es el uso de la fachada ventilada con chapa de acero perfilada.
Entendemos que, muy especialmente en el caso de viviendas sociales, la eficiencia energética debe ser muy alta. Las soluciones constructivas adoptadas han permitido conseguir una calificación energética A debido, principalmente a:
- Los sistemas de fachadas ventiladas, carpinterías, vidrios y cubiertas de elevado aislamiento térmico.
- La producción de calefacción centralizada de alto rendimiento, con control, consumo individual y gestión domótica.
- El aporte de energía solar térmica.
