“Future. Created in Hamburg”. This motto characterizes the Center for Applied Aeronautical Research (ZAL) in Hamburg. Studio Gourdin's unique design accompanies the diverse international guests and staff with a dynamic and visual language through the building, which has a close connection to the aerospace industry. Through abstraction and reinterpretation, the signage creates a fascinating change of perspective in the hectic high-tech everyday life, especially for aerospace experts. But this change of perspective is not only taking place there, but also in the new multi-storey car park, which lives up to the motto.

The wayfinding has been awarded at the DNA Paris Design Awards 2023 in the category 'Graphic Design - Communication Design' as a winner, has been awarded SILVER at the European Design Awards 2022 in the category ’Signs & Displays’ and won GOLD at the Indigo Design award 2023.
