We were excited as this was our very first restaurant in Jaipur. The only brief we got from the client was to create a space that gives the City something it has less of and at same time could mesmerize the crowd's experience. It is absolutely difficult to offer an entirely distinctive theme to the modern and food frenzy crowd of the city, especially when the restaurants are growing tremendously. Growing number of youth oriented restaurant and lounges has left the city with less spaces for other age groups and families to visit and spend time together.
- A comforting ambience in which a grandfather, a father and a son can happily bond over food.
- A cultural fusion of Portuguese, Mughal & Indian influences, narrates the Goan Architecture.
- The arches lift up the building not in a magnanimous way, but with humbleness and modesty.
- An urge & excitement to offer something new motivated us to experiment with the architecture style.
- We thought of offering a sense of coolness in the warm temperatures of Rajasthan.
- The color palettes of sea greens and blues nod the Goan beaches.
With the design language, we wanted to develop a connection between the building and the people passing by, as if the building winks and calls out to them, as a friend does.Miranda's caricatures have always fascinated us. The idea of demonstrating Mario's art in the bistro was an absolute experiment as we never saw such caricatures in any restaurant of the city. The guest relates himself with the whimsical portrayal of city's life. A theatrical play, witty and humorous, captures the space, when the caricature, the cooks and the guests perform their roles together.
