Description Original Language (Catalan)

This store was born in a significant time: crisis, ecology, sustainability... a set of factors that must make us react to change. Recover, save, reflect, are verbs that must accompany us in this new stage, and demonstrate that they are no longer exclusively a philosophy of a minority, it must be the philosophy of everyone and everything.
More than a store: here the product is carried by the customer, making him complicit in this new concept, where fashion and marketing are transformed into necessity and reality. Thus opening up an infinite number of possibilities in terms of the volume and sizes of the products on display. First difficulty: flexibility, it must be possible to display both small and large items, and in variable quantities without having to constantly transform the space.

Every product intended for a child audience has colorful colors, shapes, motifs... which, when concentrated in commercial premises of this type, intensifies in a disconcerting way. In many cases, this visual intensity plays against the serenity and order of the space, the product can "eat" the container. Second complexity: the space must control the generally showy products of the nursery.

This problem is answered by creating a unique element, which will transmit this philosophy of sustainability, recovery and naturalness. It doesn't want to be furniture, it wants to be immaterial, sculptural and essential. An element is created that, like everything in this space, can be reused, giving it a second chance, without embellishments or artifices, without irreversible manipulations... it's not decoration, nor fashion, it's sincerity, philosophy... Architecture.

These elements are flat black steel, chosen especially for this space for its elegant and suggestive dark texture. Taken to the limit of their resistance, these plans give the feeling of "floating" lightly in space, contributing to create a special and unique atmosphere.

Thanks to its constructive and material sincerity, it enhances the value of the products it exhibits. With their repetition, they give rhythm and vibration to the space, opaque and heavy laterally, invisible and diaphanous from the front, the steel elements drastically metamorphose forcing their viewer to move, to change perspective, interacting with him, making vibrate it It is a geometric reality: to be able to see all the products, the customer is obliged to enter and go to the back of the store, making him participate and experience this sculptural architecture.

Interspersed with this shopping area, there is a space intended for young and old, where meetings, talks, workshops... are possible, to emphasize even more this idea of interaction with the space, this customer/seller mix, this new philosophy of commerce sustainable In short, we wanted to create a useful sculptural space, critical of the times we live in, doing the maximum with the minimum, giving a new sustainable air and a new dimension to Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's "less is more".

A space, made up of a repetition of reusable elements with a sculptural rhythm, that beyond an ecological or commercial discourse wants to take its viewer to an architectural world where elegance and sustainability work, where necessity and art mix, where things they can have other uses, and still make us vibrate because of their naturalness, it's not about interior design, design or decoration, it's about a change in our society, the way we think, see things, a change in our history, in short, of Architecture.
