Description Original Language (Italian)

The project focuses on the waiting room of the dental office. In this environment it was necessary to create a small reception / office without excessively reducing the space.

It was decided to create a small box in the joinery, not parallel to the walls, to leave more space in the hall and the minimum space needed at the reception. The box can be closed with two large sliding panels if necessary.

The panel becomes an opportunity to create a small exhibition of dental casts right at the entrance to the studio: the casts are inserted in illuminated niches positioned in the door.

The leitmotif of the project is the combination of modern and local tradition, summarized by the gold-colored details that bind the various elements. In addition to being a material traditionally linked to elegance and hospitality, gold is also linked to dental techniques.

The waiting room was covered with sound-absorbing panels designed by domECO and made by the textile company Mariantonia Urru, like a modern boiserie, as a reinterpretation of traditional Sardinian iconography.

The panels, the cushions and the recalls of the curtain carry the same graphic symbol, using subtle golden decorations to create a single language.
