Description

Starbase as a starting point for the new Pan-American space hyperhighway

Space is the last frontier for humanity.

Space exploration is an endeavor of the utmost importance in terms of knowledge, enrichment and evolution. Being such a massive challenge, it can only be a global undertaking. It requires strength, knowledge, passion and drive. It should be the collective effort of humanity. The scale of such a task requires unity and inspiration.

What if Starbase became part of the new Pan-American Space Highway? Ancient, current and future space sites could form the backbone of a pan-American hyperloop system. The new transit system could start at the Atacama Observatory in Chile, stop at Nasca and Machu Picchu in Peru, and continue through Chichen Itza in the Yucatan, stopping at places where past people sought to connect with heaven. It would continue on to Starbase, the future of space exploration, and end up at Cape Canaveral's Kennedy Space Center.

The Starbase hyperloop station could be located at Brownsville Airport serving as an intermodal hub. From there an elevated rapid transit system could connect downtown Brownsville to Starbase and Boca Chica. The elevated mass transit system also marks a step change from current transportation systems in favor of a greener, solar-powered way of connecting places.
