Description Original Language (French)

Single-family dwelling in Malmedy.

The house is located below the main road of the village.

Access to the plot is positioned perpendicular to the secondary road in order to limit the difference in height between the public domain and the house.

The project takes advantage of the lines of force of the site by positioning itself parallel to the contours and fitting into the natural slope of the land.

The synthesis of the composition comes down to a stone wall and a wooden volume placed in front.

The sober facades clearly express an open living space as well as a more closed sleeping/service volume.

The interior continuity of the stone wall accentuates the fact that the living room is part of the garden.

The two levels of the land and the positioning of the wooden volume create the intimacy of the generously glazed spaces.

The volume with fully green flat roofs preserves the beautiful 180° view of the valley for the homes located higher up, on the other side of the main road.

The whole is thus perfectly integrated into the landscape.

The custom-made interior furniture was designed to fully merge with the architecture.
