History constitutes material for telling the birth of a new project and foreshadowing new uses. Our project takes up, both in the urban form and in its architectural writing, archetypes of the characteristic elements of the Argenteuil landscape which nourish the project by proposing a connection between local history and contemporaneity.
This urban reflection is expressed through a proposal of shapes, materials, textures and colors that we want to be suburban, or rather specific to a suburban aesthetic that needs to be revealed and inscribed in our time.
Our job is to make the right technical-economic decisions in light of the high expectations in terms of sustainability. Thus, we offer a simple general volume with distribution around the patio, which allows the commercial shells to be completely freed from any vertical distributions or additional surfaces. The result is clear, generous volumes, easily convertible or divisible. The quality of commercial spaces, and therefore their attractiveness and sustainability, is one of our major concerns. This device makes it possible to have two clear volumes with very linear load descents by limiting the recovery floors.
Life, family, work, nothing is linear. Aspirations are evolving, unpredictable for each of us, so the project offers a unifying and protective envelope, a sum containing diversity that can be updated, rearranged, repartitioned at leisure because housing must first
all being a space of freedom.
