Living with the environment is a critical aspect whilst designing architecture in New Zealand. This See Through House takes on this aspect by framing the environment.
The larch timber cladding compliments the site’s natural landscape of sand and dense vegetation located at Mangawhai.

The inspiration for the design captures the dense vegetation of the site and creates an experience of living within the trees and bushes. A courtyard space separates the living and bedroom spaces and allows the family to connect more with their outdoor settings. Custom sliding screens help create more intimate moments in the permeable spaces and allows filter light to enter.
